I have lived in Rochester for 15 years with my wife Marguerite Robinson who works in bioethics. We have five wonderful children ranging in ages from five to fourteen.
I own R3D Solutions, developing new technologies in the medical and power distribution fields. My primary focus is electronics design, evaluation, troubleshooting, and producibility.
I have been extensively engaged in quality assurance (QA) and in working with ISO13485 companies to maintain high levels of consistent quality and performance. I understand that details matter. Making sure everyone working with me are all on the same page is a strength.
I was chosen by the U.S. Army to supervise the deployment of a system to suppress Improvised Explosive Devices(IEDs) in Iraq. I worked directly with the II-MEF and theater commands to train system use, tactics, and techniques for our soldiers. I have engaged in high stress, high cost leadership where if you make a mistake, someone dies.
At high levels of commands with high quality people and creative thinking, we worked together and came up with solutions better than any one individual. Two heads are better than one. This is a hallmark of a truly effective leadership.
During my graduate school years, I developed a novel curriculum style to bring math and science to disabled children. We encouraged the students to engage in the process, challenging themselves in ways they never could have anticipated. The Las Cruces, NM school board made the class a permanent part of their curriculum.
I serve with the Knights of Columbus, including supporting the Special Olympics.
